Carbone residue acc. to Conradson |
| Operating time: |
~ 1 h |
| Analysis of: |
Heat carrier oil and compressor oil |
| Brief description: |
The Carbone residue is the amount of residue which comes out
after smoulder of 10 grams of oil in a special Conradson device under defined conditions. |
| Statement: |
Residue formation can emerge from oil carbon or coke, if mineral
oil is thermally overloaded. By heat carrier oils the Carbon residue is a criterion
to extend the time for oil change. It`s also possible to get an information about
Carbon residue on valves from blended, low ash compressor oils (VBL, VCL). |
