Carbone residue according to Conradson (CCR)
OELCHECK Test equipment: Device according DIN 51551
Sample quantity needed: 12 ml
Unit: % (weight)
Test result: Carbone residue acc. to Conradson
Operating time: ~ 1 h
Analysis of: Heat carrier oil and compressor oil
Brief description: The Carbone residue is the amount of residue which comes out after smoulder of 10 grams of oil in a special Conradson device under defined conditions.
Statement: Residue formation can emerge from oil carbon or coke, if mineral oil is thermally overloaded. By heat carrier oils the Carbon residue is a criterion to extend the time for oil change. It`s also possible to get an information about Carbon residue on valves from blended, low ash compressor oils (VBL, VCL).
