Density-Temperature-profile
Anton Paar Rheometer Physica MCR 301
OELCHECK Test equipment: Density Meter DMA 5000 from Anton Paar
Sample quantity needed: 15 ml
Unit: Kg/m3
Test result: Density by different temperatures.
Range of temperatures +10°C till +90°C in steps of 10°C
Operating time: About 6 hours
Analysis of: Lube oils and hydraulic liquids
Brief description: To determine the density, the liquid sample is sucked into a tempered U-pipe. After filling the pipe is animated to swing. By change of the oscillation frequency of the empty and the filled U-pipe, which goes proportional to the density, the density can be calculated.
Statement: The density-temperature-profile is the basis of many fluid mechanical and thermodynamic calculations. It´s often used together with the viscosity-temperature-profile in order to calculate the temperature profile of the kinematic viscosity.
