| OELCHECK Test equipment:
|
Density Meter DMA 5000 from Anton Paar |
| Sample quantity needed: |
15 ml |
| Unit: |
Kg/m3 |
| Test result: |
Density by different temperatures. Range of temperatures +10°C till +90°C in steps of 10°C
|
| Operating time: |
About 6 hours |
| Analysis of: |
Lube oils and hydraulic liquids |
| Brief description: |
To determine the density, the liquid sample is sucked into a tempered U-pipe. After filling the pipe is animated to swing. By change of the oscillation frequency of the empty and the filled U-pipe, which goes proportional to the density, the density can be calculated.

| Statement: |
The density-temperature-profile is the basis of many fluid mechanical and thermodynamic calculations. It´s often used together with the viscosity-temperature-profile in order to calculate the temperature profile of the kinematic viscosity.
