Brief description:	This instrument has especially been developped to determine the colour index of oils. The sample bottle is put in the WaveCheck. After appr. 5 s the color index can be read off and transferred into the data bank. The blank value for the empty plastic bottle is considered at the determination. The color index is determined according to DIN ISO 2049 and can be reproduced exactly with a step size of 0.5.
Statement:	The change of colour gives important information about the ageing and oixidation or possible contamination of the oil. Or simply: If the colour of a sample deviates from the previous one within the trend analysis, a wrong filling or overheating may be the reason.
